MUSIC / GUIDE
Reggae sessions offer bass weight, distinctive rhythmic movement and the message in a vocal. Programmes can lean towards roots, dancehall or dub. The selectors' recordings and the description of the sound setup help you choose between focused listening and a more dance-led night.
WREP’s first-Saturday session brings together DJ K.DA.B, DJ JUSTY, and DJ FUJIMARU. The music spans hip-hop, R&B, reggae, Latin, and afrobeats. It is an early-evening entry point into a broad Black-music-focused dancefloor.
UPTOWN FRIDAY begins after midnight on the second floor of Shibuya's OR. Guest Liberty arrives from Osaka for a night spanning dancehall, reggae, hip-hop, trap, R&B, soca, and afro. It is a bass-forward dance session built to run deep into the night.
CHANNEL LOVE is a weekday reggae sound-system session at Club CACTUS. KIYAMA, KAMY, CHAN-ITO, 涼, and NOJA make up the DJ lineup. It runs from 19:00 to 23:00 with a 500-yen music charge. The low-cost entry makes it an easy way to spend an evening immersed in reggae sound.
The postponed PEACE, UNITY & JOY returns as a year-end party. OASIS RISING SOUND joins as special guest, alongside a full roster of sounds and DJs at Club CACTUS. Running from 23:00 to 05:00, it is built for dancing through the night and closing out the year together.
