MUSIC / GUIDE
Jungle sets weave edited breakbeats around bass and vocal samples. Following how the drums change reveals more than speed alone, especially at the transitions. Selections of older records and programmes led by current releases can each show a different side of the style.
Honeycomb returns to FORESTLIMIT with a focus on the distinctive rhythms and low-end pressure of juke and footwork. Korea-based footwork DJ TUNA joins a lineup connecting local and international scenes. Expect a physical, high-speed floor centered on BPM 160, with jungle elements woven into the sets.
UK bass-music producer and DJ NOTION makes his first appearance in Japan at Circus Tokyo. His style contrasts uplifting melodies with weighty low end across UK garage, bassline, house, and jungle. Doors open at 23:00 for a late-night look at a leading voice in new-generation UK bass music.
