MUSIC / GUIDE

Explore hardstyle events

Hardstyle programmes combine prominent kicks with melodic lift and dramatic developments. Rhythmic force and the shape of a track can give a session strong momentum. Listening for the balance of melody and harder textures is a useful way to choose a programme.

How to choose a session

• Try a DJ mix to hear the balance between melody and kick texture.
• Check for a hardstyle focus or a programme that also includes hardcore and neighbouring styles.
